The Mesh Project mesh body is absolutely lovely. Mostly I love it because all poses look much more smoother and natural – I hate hate hate when my arms and legs have sharp angles. The Mesh Project feet are small enough and hands are very pretty.
But like many others, I find shopping at the Shops very confusing experience. The area is all white and it is so slow to find things. After shopping, wearing you Style HUD is also annoying, sometimes I have to detach it and wear it again because the HUD is so very slow or freezes completely.
And clothing…yes I like my body and yes I like to show it, but when I go to dance or shop or explore I really would like to wear my own clothing instead of that cocktail dress which you can have free from the Shops.
Thumbs up for the Mesh Project. It is great to have free mesh body options, although I am now considering SLink version – just because I am so excited to have smoother body and it is too painful to use old body after trying mesh body in action. I have tough decision to make: do I wait non-beta version of The Mesh Project body (which I think is prettier…) or do I buy SLink body (I do have SLink feet and hands already).
Mixed reality strikes again. When I (or person behind my avatar LOL) was visiting Copenhagen this spring, I bought a recycled dress which I named the Raspberry Dress. And now I have a virtual dress almost like the original one!
Lolita mesh dress* is from Le Chic (mainstore link) and they have four different colours/patterns of it: black, bordeaux, celeste and rose. I totally fell in love with the blue one, it is very girly and goes well with my summer blonde hair (Magika Shimmer).
This morning there was a quite funny conversation with my Finnish SL-friend. I told I have been incorrectly called Minnu and that name lead us to LeLutka, very well know SL-fashion brand founded by Minnu Palen and one of my all-time-favorites.
And why it was so funny? Because lutka in Finnish means hooker… or it is not so bad as hooker, maybe more like a very generous and liberal woman. LeLutka sounds like classy french-styled hooker!
Sometimes I have thought maybe Minnu Palen is Finnish but I really have no idea. Probably not. There is also other Finnish brand names at SL, like small shop LentoTähti (I think it’s not operating anymore). Almost all Finnish based names have been made by japanese SL-designers. Santa Claus from Finland’s Lapland and The Moomins are popular in Japan and Finnish language may sound exotic and fun.
I tried to search old LentoTähti clothes but I think I have deleted them last spring when I did inventory cleaning. LeLutka skins, hairs and clothes I have many and as a bit hurry I choose first ones. Olja hair looks still fine but has to say that old skin looks…well, messy and old.
hair LeLutka Olja BlondeFun
skin LeLutka Friday Light (light browns)
dress LeLutka Simone sandybrown (just before MESH came…)
I bought two “Marie Antoinette” dresses for SL Movie Poster meme and because I used the yellow one on the meme pic, here is the other one. It is something I never wear, but surprise surprise – I like it a lot! And mixed reality strikes again: I have been wearing more girly and feminine clothes IRL also – even my boyfriend said one day I look more adult than usually. Normally I have jeans or a bit hippie dresses.
The dress is Les Petites Details Marie Antoinette Sunset. This shop was totally new for me and I am really glad I have find it. For a pic above I used years and years old Marxi Posesphere 2 or actually only posestand, I removed the sphere and made white wall background. Marxi is full of rather good poses by Alexx Markova. Could not find any of these names or slurls anymore:(
I was so thrilled when I noticed SS’s new meme challenge because it is always fun to create look-a-likes. I even asked from my FB friends what movie they suggest to me. Answer was unpossible to visualize in SL: Comet in Moominland – Muumipeikko ja pyrstötähti. It is based on Tove Jansson’s famous “children’s” book. It is great book and as my friend wrote, full of “adventures, family time, treasures, changes, serenity, writing, new encounters, unexpected twists and turns, traveling” – just like my RL life:)
While thinking of moomins, I took easier movie, Marie Antoinette. It is not my all-time-favorite movie, but it is fun and colorful and Kirsten Dunst is so cute. AND my SL friend is planning baroque/rococo themed party, so this was a good reason to shop some dresses and hairdo’s.
The dress is HUGE, and it has it’s own AO with fan movements, greetings, curtseys and bowing. Hairdo is Annette Hair color 10 from A&A. Rosy wall texture from Ferryhill Designs. And OMG I just realized I forgot to use my flower accessory! Had to make another pic, soon! 😀
I did not try to copy the original movie poster, my version is based on these two pics.
